Puumala-virus is one of the hantaviruses causing hemorrhagic fever with
renal syndrome, transmitted by the bank vole Clethrionomys
glareolus in Europe. About ten years ago we studied Finnish professional 
mammalogists, and 50% of them hand antibodies although only some 20%,  
myself included, had had the acute disease. Anyway, this our professional 
hazard here. But that's life!
