An unusual foriegn body of the ear

regarding the ticks-in-the-ear and facial palsy: 

Most parasitologists I think are well aware of tick-paralysis in domestic
cattle.
It would be helpful if someone more knowledgeable than I posted a brief
summary of what is known.
