The Department of Zoology at The Ohio State University seeks
applications to fill a tenure-track, assistant professor position
to begin Autumn Quarter, 1996.  The Department seeks an
ORGANISMAL PHYSIOLOGIST with research interests and postdoctoral
experience to complement strong programs in aquatic ecology,
behavioral ecology, sensory biology, and our faculty's interest
in conservation biology.  The successful candidate will be
expected to establish and maintain an active, extra-murally
funded research program and to mentor graduate students. 
Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate courses in
vertebrate physiology and cell biology and graduate courses in
the candidate's field of research expertise.  The committee will
begin reviewing applications on January 15, 1996.  Applicants
