Re "fleas in clusters and embedded near eyes of dog." Your dog
probably has an infestation of the so-called sticktight flea,
Echnidnophaga gallinacea. These fleas often parasitize chickens and
other birds and occasionally infest dogs. Years ago one of our
faculty member's dog became infested with sticktight fleas and he had
a terrible time ridding the dog of the infestation. See your
veterinarian and attack the fleas aggressively before they become
established on your premises.
