Parasitology Postgraduate Research Participation Program
A training position in the Oak Ridge Postgraduate Research
Participation Program is available for a recent graduates
specializing in parasitology. The successful candidate will
pursue a full time research program on detection methodology
for waterborne enteric protozoan parasites at the U.S. EPA's
National Exposure Research Laboratory in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Research training will include immunological and molecular
methods of identification to species level of protozoans in
environmental water samples. The candidate should have
experience or knowledge in: maintaining enteric protozoan
parasite cycles in animals, immunology, molecular biology,
viability testing, and sophisticated light microscopic
techniques (CSLM, DIC, etc.). Send resume and names and
