Without references but by word of mouth (and now NET), the staff with two
SNAKES is the staff of Hermes the messenger and possibly used in error as
a medical symbol by many (US ARMY included). The staff of Aesclepulus
(sp?) ie: the Caduceus appropriately has only a single Guinea worm wound
around a twig.
