Perhaps you mean "gnathostomaisis" caused by infection with the
Spirurid parasite Gnathostoma. 2 cases were described from Mexico by
Pelaez and Perez-Reyes in 1970 (Rev Lat-Am Microbiol 12:83-91). Other
information is available in Beaver's "Clinical Parasitology", pgs 340-342.
