I am looking for an updated list of OTC treatments for head lice. Of
particular interest, I would like a list of all US vendors with their
address and telco numbers. Web sites are welcomed, too. Due to large
companies operating pharmacy chains, they do not stock a large inventory of
products nor selection. It is a problem to tell a patient to use product X,
Y or Z and they go to the drugstore and they only stock, product A, so the
patient does not always purchase to treatment until they check at a later
time with their DR or other health professional. In many cases, the
pharmacist is helpful but some patients avoid any discussion about the
infection, so the infection persists. This information will be edited and
made available to local health departments and schools in the form of an
expanded fact sheet.
