Parasitology: TV vs. Cinema ?

Thanks to Prof. J.F. Magnaval (Toulouse, France) for his funny comments on
"SMILLA" (an american movie made in 1997 by the danish director Bill
August), with this curious prehistoric worm (?) called "Dracunculus
borealis" (!)..

But what about the extraordinary brain-storming leading the staff of
"ALIEN" (especially the number one - Ridley Scott, 1979 - of this
fourth-part space opera) ! Did the Alien's parasitoid-like strategy,
developed in the scenario, also came from fruitful discussions with an
unknown parasitologist ?

Who knows any other example of Parasites in such a prominent position for a
movie ? Best wishes for all - PHILIPPE
