Eastern Michigan University's Department of Biology invites applications
for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions available fall 1999;
a Microbial Ecologist and an Invertebrate Biologist. For the
Invertebrate Biologist position we are seeking an individual who is
capable of teaching the taxonomy and ecology of invertebrates and
parasitology and we are particularly interested in applicants whose
research is in aquatic systems. Successful candidates will be expected
to develop research programs capable of attracting external funding,
participate in graduate programs and an emerging new undergraduate
curriculum, and complement the expertise and diversity of the
department. The position requires a Ph.D., teaching experience, and
productive research. The Department has 22 faculty with graduate program
concentrations in ecology and organismal biology, molecular and cellular
biology, and general biology. Website:
