Faculty Position in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology

The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University
of South Alabama College of Medicine seeks applications for a
tenure-track Assistant up to Full Professor to begin as early as July 1,
1999.  Excellent salary, start-up funds, and laboratory space will be
provided.  Candidates must  show strong promise of maintaining
extramural funds for their research and are to train both graduate and
medical students.  Those whose research combines biochemistry, molecular
biology, and other experimental methods to study mechanisms of human
disease are especially encouraged to apply.  A major area of our
interest is cancer biology including cell proliferation, apoptosis, gene
transcription, signal transduction, development, differentiation,
extracellular matrix, or cell adhesion.  Excellence of the individual is
more important than the research field.  Send a curriculum vitae,
