Parasitic Helminths from Genomes to Vaccines II 1999

Edinburgh, Scotland

July 8-11 1999

This meeting will cover all aspects of modern helminthology, from the
characterisation of genomes, to the isolation of genes, the definition of
biochemistry, the investigation of immunity to the development of new
vaccines.

This is the second announcement.

The meeting over three days (four nights) will include keynote talks by Dr.
P Kuwabara (C. elegans "postgenomics"), Dr. J. Dalton (flatworm
biochemistry), Dr. K. Henkle (filarial nematode molecular genetics) and
Prof. A. Scott (nematode immunomodulators). There will be six sessions of
talks chosen from submitted abstracts, and one or two poster sessions. A
full programme of social events is planned including the legendary Ceildh
(Scottish traditional dancing). The meeting will be at the Pollock
conference centre in the middle of the ancient city of Edinburgh. We expect
between 150 and 180 participants: space is limited so please book early.

above).

Deadline for abstract submission, and for registration, is 01 June 1999.

copies.

The cost of the meeting is as follows:

Student Resgistration             =A3120 or $200
(students claiming this discount must supply a letter confirming their
student status; there may be a few student bursaries available)
Accommodation (on the site of the Meeting)              =A3150 or $255
