For routine faecal samples at our lab, we screen all faeces for
Cryptosporidia using a modified ZN stain. This will also pick up
Cyclospora if they are present. Cyclospora can also be identified from
wet prep. examination and they autofluoresce which is a useful
diagnostic aid!
