Just a reminder that the registration and abstract deadlines are the end of
May.

Invited speakers are:
    * Prof. Kurt Buchmann - Antiparasitic responses in fish and the
corresponding immune-evading mechanisms of monogeneans.
    * Prof. Claude Combes - Evolution of the Monogena.
    * Dr Milan Gelnar - Monogenean site selection in relation to the
structural diversity of their attachment organs.
    * Prof. Jean-Lou Justine - Monogeneans of New Caledonia.
    * Prof. Delane Kritsky - Evolution of the Gyrodactylidae.
    * Prof. Boris Lebedev - Trends in monogenean speciation.
    * Prof. Susan Lim - Evolutionary survival - monogenean adaptations to
the parasitic life-style.
    * Dr Jaakko Lumme - The transition from classical taxonomy and
systematics to the DNA bar code: can it be achieved smoothly for Gyrodactylus?
    * Prof. Kazuo Ogawa - New data on the blood feeding and egg-laying of
Heterobothrium okamotoi (Diclidophoridae).
    * Prof. Richard Tinsley - Understanding parasite biology in the
natural world: the vital role of research on monogeneans.
    * Dr Ian Whittington - The Entobdellinae (Monogenea: Capsalidae):
recent research to unify the taxon.
Of interest to Gyrodactylus specialists: Dr Jaakko Lumme will also be
demonstrating and proposing a common, open-access DNA taxonomy website for
Gyrodactylus.

Anyone interested in making a bid for !ISM6 should contact me and be
prepared to give a short presentation at ISM5.
