<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" ><tr><td valign="top" style="font: inherit;"><DIV><STRONG>Trichonomas gallinae</STRONG> <BR>The wide spread use of antibiotics in the 1970's and 1980's has almost been successful in exterminating these strains which left an easily visible symptom of their presence. This "extermination" coincided with the emergence of various strains of this organism to which the pigeon's body does not react with a violent immune response and create these cheesy masses.
