A lectureship is available for a molecular biologist with interests in the biology of prokaryotic or eukaryotic microorganisms.
The appointment is intended to strengthen the research and teaching in Microbiology. Initial teaching loads will be limited to help the appointee establish an active research programme. Applicants should be able to assist with the teaching of basic prokaryotic microbiology and to develop advanced teaching in their own area of interest. The latter will involve the application of modern molecular techniques in microbial physiology, biochemistry, cell biology, genetics or ecology. The ability to develop c
ollaborative programmes with established research groups in the College would be an advantage.
The post is at Lecturer A, current salary (pounds sterling)14,756-19,326 plus
2,134 London weighting. Candidates should have a PhD and are likely to have 2-3 years post-doctoral experience.
