I have been using the LiCor LI-6400 during last two years. I think it is an
ouitstanding instrument which has a consolle that is nothing but a nice
computer connected to masterpiece hardwares. All parameters inside the leaf
chamber (CO2, Temperature, Lig
ht, VPD...) can be set and perfectly controlled.

The only thing that does not make me very happy is that it uses the water
vapour
exchanged by the leaf and the flux of incoming air to control the humidity
inside the chamber. It works perfectly when leaf is transpiring at a good
rate (such as well watered sunflower plants) but I found it less easy to
control high VPD value in the ca
se of very (water) stressed Olive tree leaf in a dry weather day. However,
I cannot say if another user would do better than me (feedback about it are
wellcome).

One more positive aspect in having this instrument is the great assistance
that
scientists and techniicians from LICOR give you when you get a problem.
This is my experience.
For any other specific question on (my) use of Li-6400, just make it.
