rate of photosynthesis

Hi,

A student at our high school working on an independent project has asked
my help in preparing some acid solutions.  She wants to test the affect
of pH on photosynthesis using pH values of 6, 4, and 2 and fresh water
aquatic plants.  I can help her measure the change in gas pressure in an
enclosed system but I am not sure what to advise her to use to prepare
the buffered acid solutions to put the plants in.  Any help with recipes
will be appreciated! Thanks, Becky
