Passing of Dwight Billings

[Boyd Strain]

Many of you knew Dwight Billings or knew of his decades of research
on ecological aspects of photosynthesis.  I am sad to report that he
died in his home Saturday, January 4, 1997 at 87 years of age.

There will be a memorial service for Dwight Billings at
4PM, Thursday, January 9, 1997 in the Duke University
Chapel.
