POSTDOCTORAL AND PREDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP POSITIONS IN:
ALGAL PHYSIOLOGY
In the Micro-algal Biotechnology lab.
The Jacob Blaustien Inst. for Desert Research, Ben-Gurion Univ. of the
Negev. Sede-Boker Campus. Israel
To study the role of environmental stress on algal physiology and biochemistry.
Research Themes:
1 - Adaptation of Spirulina platensis ( Cyanobacteria ) to low temperature
as reflected in the response to light ( PS II modifications ) and oxygen
metabolism.
2 - Response and adaptation of Spirulina platensis ( Cyanobacteria ) to
salinity stress: Physiological and biochemical responses.
The positions are available immediately,.
Expertise and background in algal growth physiology, photosynthesis
methodology ( Chlorophyll fluorescence ), protein biochemistry are of
advantage,
