I recently requested you for a reference of Otto Warburg. It was not in the
RAM of my mind/brain, but it was on the hard drive of my mind/brain that it
was in Science; further clicking led me to "1958" and I found the quotation
and reference. If anyone is interested, here it is:

Warburg, O. (1958) Photosynthesis. Experiments at the Max Planck Institute
for Cell Physiology, Berlin-Dahlem, 1950-57, are described. Science 128,
68-74 (1958) (see p. 68, 3rd column from the left, para 3, see last 8
lines):

"It is a decision in favor of nature. The reaction by which nature
transforms the energy of sunlight into chemical energy, and upon which the
existence of the organic world is based, is not so imperfect that the
greater part of the applied light energy is lost; on the contrary, the
reaction is like the world itself, nearly perfect."
