Let This be A Special Millennium Year for YOU and your Pet Photosynthesis
Research or Teaching Project Whatever It May Be
May the NEW YEAR usher you in the path of fragrance and freshness, colored
vistas (green or blue or purple or red as the case may be for you), peace,
bliss, progress, and wonderful opportunities that lead to bright new
horizons of achievements and booming successes.
May it fill your days with fun, frolic, fame, fortune, and freedom from
excessive time in writing research grants. May this be the beginning of a
very happy time for you; where you feel at peace with yourself and the
competitors in your specific area at your institution and around the World.
Your papers have always been better than theirs, anyway. You were always
convincing even when your data had holes!
May vigour, vitality, glowing health (through workouts at your Gym), good
friends, beautiful moments and shining dreams that are worth cherishing
come knocking at your door and strengthen friendly and family ties.
May the NEW YEAR be full of grandeur, splendid joys of life, full of
heartfelt special delights, heart warming sights, warm hearted feelings,
and serene thoughts to keep your spirits high.
May 2001 deliver all the life's finest things (for example, acceptance of
papers in "Nature"; "Science"; and "Proceedings of the National Academy of
Sciences" and whatever journal you want to publish in) and those that you
have striven for to make the year happier than any of the past years; than
my words can express.
May the New year allow you (if you been invited) to send your Table of
Contents and your Chapters to the Editors of "Advances in Photosynthesis
and Respiration" (Kluwer Academic Publishers) BEFORE the deadlines. This
Wish becomes more important if I am involved in any invitations either to
any of the Books or any of the Special Issues of "Photosynthesis Research",
especially the one dealing with the "Historical Highlights of
Photosynthesis Research in the Past Millennium". [If you have a specific
idea and wish to write for this issue, you are welcome to contact me at
gov at uiuc.edu].
WISHING YOU A TRULY FULFILLING, MARVELLOUS, PROMISING, EVENTFUL, And
MAGNIFICENT NEW YEAR, 2001.
