Esteban,

I am working on something similar.  If you can be more specific, I can
probably point you in the right direction.  It is an interesting and large
area you are diving into.

Have you already looked into distillation and chromatography?  Have you
narrowed your focus as to what types of compounds you want to extract and
identify?  Fun stuff, email me and we can chat about it.
