  There are also reports of "genetic tumours" on plants following 
certain crosses.
    eg. Ichikawa T and K Syono. 1991. Tobacco genetic tumours. Plant 
Cell Physiol 32:1123.
 I'd be interested in a discussion of this area and the 
differences between plants and humans re the frequency of tumours 
and cancers of various types.
