International Physics Studies Program, University of Leipzig, Germany

At the University of Leipzig the Faculty of Physics and Geosciences
offers to students from all countries an International Physics Studies
Program with courses in English towards

Bachelor of Science (B. Sc.),
Master of Science (M. Sc.) and 
Doctoral degree (Dr. rer. nat. or Dr. phil.).

An internationally oriented University staff provides general courses
in physics, mathematics, computer sciences and chemistry. Special
courses cover modern topics of theoretical, basic
and applied physics as well as technology related practical work and
research with state of the art equipment.

Special programs for materials science, optoelectronics,
high-resolution microscopy, polymer science, physical chemistry,
applied mathematics, industry related research and
development, signal and data processing, biophysics and medical
applications are provided. Established interdisciplinary
collaborations and co-operations with industry assure masters
and doctoral theses of high scientific and technological relevance. A

Lectures (undergraduate and graduate) start October 1st 1997. Grading
and acceptance of credits from foreign universities is based on
international standards as defined by the
"European Credit Transfer System".
