Chromosome numbers in hybridization

Hello,
     I am working on a hybridizing a number of distant relative plants. I
need to obtain a good set of chromosome counts for the varities I'm
working with. The families are: Maize, Moracae, cucurbit and solanacea.
Does anyone know a good source for chromosome counts in these families?
(I'm trying crosses within these families, not between them.) Preferably,
are there any sources on the net? If not, what are the best books?
