Summer Internships for Undergraduates

Are any of you aware of summer research opportunities/internships for
undergraduate students who are NOT U.S. citizens?  Two of our very good
majors who are not citizens are running into problems finding summer
research opportunities at many institutions, especially when the projects
are funded by the federal government.
