One of the three temporary positions in the announcement below is for a

Biology:  Three, 1-year term (renewable to 2-yr.) Assistant Professor
positions. Require a strong commitment to teaching and general education.
Start September 1998. Ph.D. required.   Previous undergraduate teaching
experience desired. Experience with large (>=100) lecture sections,
emphasis on active learning, developing critical thinking and use of
computer-based instructional technology preferred. Salaries commensurate
with experience.  HUMAN ANATOMY: teach prosection-based course for allied
health & biology majors.  Ability to teach upper-level dissection course
and contribute to development of clinical courses for new Occupational
Therapy & Physician Assistant programs is desired.   BOTANY: teach lectures
and laboratories in General Botany and upper-division course.  GENERAL
EDUCATION (pending funding): teach biology in a non-majors, integrated
science sequence, participate in designing and delivering new curricula,
and instruct a course in an upper division area of interest. Opportunities
to conduct collaborative research are available, but not required.  Seek
