With any type of spot-checking, there often is too much luck involved. The
student who -- by blind luck -- accidentally studies the "asked-for" questions
gets the same grade as the students who studeis all of the material.
Conversely, the student who accidentally fails to study the "asked-for"
questions gets the same grade as the student who studies nothing whatever.
