Botanist and Ecologist Positions

ASSISTANT PROFESSORS, Biological Sciences, University of South Alabama. Two
tenure-track positions beginning in Fall 1999. Ph.D. in biological sciences
required, postdoctoral experience desirable. Candidates should have a
commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching and show evidence of
participation in extramurally funded research. The main areas of expertise

candidates who work at the organismal level or above. Opportunity for
development of graduate courses in the candidates' areas of specialization

for required development of a research program. Graduate programs include
the M.S. in biology and Ph.D. in marine sciences. The Department of
Biological Sciences has 16 full-time faculty and modern research facilities.
USA has 12,000 students, eight colleges, many M.S. programs, and five Ph.D.
