Department of Plant Biology

Applications are invited for a tenure-track position as an ASSISTANT
PROFESSOR in the Department of Plant Biology. We are seeking a
broadly trained individual who utilizes one or more combinations of
traditional, genetic, biochemical and molecular techniques to investigate
fundamental problems in plant physiology. Candidates must have a
Ph.D. in Plant Biology/Botany or related field (by Aug. 15, 1999) and a
strong record of research accomplishments. Post-doctoral research
experience, previous teaching experience and evidence of grantsmanship
are preferred. Teaching responsibilities may include CORE plant
biology/biology, introductory and advanced plant physiology and graduate
seminar courses. The candidate is expected to develop a strong,
externally funded research/graduate program. Information about the
