I am putting together a course in Plant-Animal Interactions
for Juniors and Seniors at Loyola College next semester. (I am not strictly looking at just plant-animal interactions - plant-fungal interactions will be included.) I am looking for helpful advice with respect to possible text books, excellent case studies for discussion, etc. I would like the focus of the course to be evolutionary with ecology sprinkled in, as opposed to vice-versa. I am also debating whether I can put together enough lab exercises to hold a lab section (at this point I have the choice of lab or discussion section), and would appreciate any ideas of experimental approaches that could be addressed in a series of 3 hour labs. THANKS for any input.
