I use the late 19th century Supreme Court decision declaring the tomato a vegetable as a "case" to lead into discussion of fruit function, type, etc. and tie in with supermarket lingo and things students like such as most nuts aren't nuts, most berries aren't berries, etc. Dave Starrett
