GENETICIST. The Department of Biology at James Madison University
invites applications for a TENURE-TRACK, ASSISTANT PROFESSOR position
to start in August 2000. We seek a geneticist to teach introductory
and advanced genetics courses, and to involve undergraduate and
masters students in their research program. Research area is open
but expertise in plant or animal developmental genetics is desirable.
The department is committed to promoting collaborative research
between faculty and students and values excellence in undergraduate
instruction. Essential qualifications: Ph.D., evidence of
excellent teaching and communication skills, and evidence of active
