Herbaceous plant grafting

Plant Ed Group:

I am helping to put together a demonstration on grafting for a public 
event.  Could anyone suggest some herbaceous plants that are 
relatively easy to work with, and would heal relatively quickly?  In 
your experience, how do Solanaceous species compare to cucurbits?
