"Cottonball" tree ID help needed

Here are the details:

The tree is growing in a friend's yard in Phoenix, AZ. but is not an AZ native.

The tree has baseball-size clusters of seeds that look like cottonballs.

20-30 feet tall

Green bark on single trunk with lots of large bud scars.

Leaves are palmately compound, with leaflets about 4 inches long, oblong shape
and obtuse at apex.
