The following position is an excellent opportunity for someone who would
like to maintain an active research program as a postdoc working on
biological clocks and/or photoperiodism while beginning to develop a record
of teaching experience for a future position. This position will be
advertised in the March 31 issue of Science.
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR/SENIOR LECTURER IN BIOLOGY. The Department of
Biological Sciences at Vanderbilt University invites applications for a
non-tenure track position at the level of Assistant Professor or Senior
Lecturer. The appointment will be for two years with the possibility of
renewal. The successful candidate will be expected to teach an introductory
course in the fall semester and 1-2 other courses in the area of specialty
in the spring semester. Preference will be given to applicants who have an
active research program in the area of biological clocks and/or
photoperiodism and would like to continue research in that area in the
laboratories of Drs. Carl Johnson and/or Terry Page. Applicants can learn
