Visiting Biology Positions

St. Mary's College of Maryland, a public honors college for the 
liberal arts, located an hour and a half southeast of Washington, 
D.C., invites applications for two one-year appointments at the 
assistant professor level to begin August 2000.  Teaching 
responsibilities include introductory courses for non-majors, and 
participation in the lower-level biology core requirements and 
upper-level elective courses in biology. Preference will be given to 
biologists capable of teaching animal behavior or molecular 
evolution. Applicants should have or expect a PhD before the starting 
date.  Please submit a cover letter, resume (including E-mail 
address) and a statement of teaching philosophy, and arrange to have 
three letters of recommendation sent to Chair, Biology Search 
Committee, 18952 E. Fisher Road, St. Mary's College of Maryland, St.
