Sclerid function ????

I don't know what happened to my "beautiful" and detailed response, but I see
that it disappeared.  Sorry for an empty response.  It's too late tonight  to
redo it so I'll try again later tomorrow someone else doesn't beat me in
explaining a possible role for sclerids based on observations in wild pears.
