Plant ed folks (again):
Greetings. I know not all of you folks are not immediately producing Ph.D.'s,
but at least you know places producing them. I hope this is an OK use of this
list. Please pass the information to whomever you think might make use
of it.

We are looking for a plant biotech/plant molecular biology faculty member,
somebody familiar with tissue culture and transformation. Our searching to
date has not turned up what we are looking for, and I don't think we
have ANY
money to spend on further ads. [I am going to post to the plant-ed list, too,
and I'm sorry for duplicates.] We are looking for someone who will be good
with our students (the product of a good and fairly uniform K-12 system) in
the classroom and in the lab, and who will provide leadership in getting a
biotech program up and running here. We have lots of excellent
undergrads in
our research labs, and we generally like our students (something interviewees
comment on). There are several plant faculty members, all actively
engaged in
research. We even have a new building addition, and there is a big greenhouse.

The details of the position can be found at
