I am looking for information regarding orchid protocorms. Has anyone identified the cell type(s) and/or cell layer(s) which propagate additional protocorms or regenerate whole plants in tissue culture using microscopy (light or EM) or by other techniques? Any help in identifying reference sources would be appreciated. Thanks!
