the most useful rang eof wavelength that the plants use for photosynthesis
is red to far red (700 nm approx.). Hence probably any light bulb, since they
do not cut out any  part of the visible spectrum specifically, will 
support the growth. The efficiency of the light source, however, will 
depend upon the percentage of its energy given off in the above-mentioned
wavelength.
