The Du Pont Company has an immediate job opening for a scientist 
with a Masters degree in biology to work on Arabidopsis molecular 
genetics.  The succesful candidate will join  a team of plant 
physiologists, biochemists, and geneticists to ascertain the 
resistance potential of plants to new herbicides and the possible 
mode of action of these chemicals.   Initially, activities will involve 
mutagenesis and screening of Arabidopsis plants for herbicide 
resistance.  Similar activities with microbes and other plant 
species could be envisioned in the future.

Du Pont is located in Wilmington, Delaware, an attractive east Coast 
location near Philadelphia and Baltimore.
We require:

%	Ability to organize, schedule, prioritize and carry out multiple 
tasks of a technical nature in an effective and timely manner.
%	Familiarity with (or ability to rapidly learn) modern laboratory 
techniques and instrumentation.
%	Good interpersonal skills and willingness to be part of a multi-
disciplinary research effort .
%	Good written and oral communications skills.
%	An interest in developing a strong research program in novel 
approaches to  agrichemical discovery.
%	Good computer skills.
