Transgenic Rice Bibliography needs your help
I am preparing a review of genes transferred to rice (Oryza sativa) for an
OECD meeting. So far I have found some 60 references from 1992-1993
for ABOUT 50 GENES EXPRESSED IN RICE, LISTED BELOW.
I welcome any references from any language publications, including
conference proceedings and meetings abstracts, for inclusion in the
review, BEFORE MONDAY, 6TH SEPTEMBER, 1993.
REPLIES preferably by e-mail (ilkka at rice.nbh.affrc.go.jp) or
fax (+81-298-38-7468):

ALL CONTRIBUTORS WILL GET A COMPREHENSIVE LISTING IN
ADVANCE OF PUBLICATION. Summaries will be posted to
newsgroups and bulletin boards. Later on this bibliography might serve as
a starting point for a small database for rice genetic engineers. If there is
sufficient interest, I plan to maintain and update this database regularly,
possibly including translated resumes from non-English papers (Japanese,
Chinese, others?; contributors welcome!), preferably with on-line
computer access by gopher or ftp.
Please include the following information: Full reference in English,
original language, name of gene, (rice variety if known).
Example:
------------------------------------------------------------
gene:
RSV CP = Rice Stripe Virus coat protein
variety:
japonica KVII5071 & KVII5072
Reference:
Zhu, Y., Hayakawa, T. & S. Toriyama. 1993.
Production of transgenic rice plant resistant to rice stripe virus. (in
Japanese with English abstract)
In: Recent Advances in Molecular Plant Pathology. pp. 1-9. Proceedings
of the 29th Symposium on Physiological Plant Pathology in Japan.
Tsukuba, July 1993.
Abstract: (optional)
