BY-2 Cell Line

    There was a request recently for information on the BY-2 cell
line, but I don't recall who requested the information.  One place to
check is a 1981 article by Nagata et al. in Molecular and General
Genetics, 184: 161-165.  This paper was cited as the reference for BY-
2 in a paper by Takahashi et al. in PNAS in 1989 (PNAS 86: 9279-
9283).
