Symposium: Down Regulation of Gene Expression by Antisense and Other
Technologies. 

Iowa State University. Ames, Iowa. Sept. 9-10.
     
Honor lecturer and keynote speaker: Professor Donald Grierson.

Sessions: Tomato Ripening Antisense Mutants, Photosynthesis Antisense
Mutants, and Emerging Technologies for Down Regulating Genes. 

Speakers are from laboratories where these technologies have been used success-
fully. There will be ample opportunity for scientific and social 
interaction.

The symposium is being organized by the Interdepartmental
Plant Physiology Major and is open to scientists from industry as
well as to faculty and students from colleges and universities.
