Carrion Flowers/Flowering Times

I grow a good many African stapeliads out-of-doors in the ground on a small West Indian island and most bloom intermittently throughout the year. A few, such as Stapelia nobilis, are continuous bloomers and draw every fly in the neighbourhood during the afternoon.

Given the high light intensity required for flowering, greenhouse growers in northerly climes can expect flowering only during the summer months. Actually, it seems a considerable accomplishment that you are getting flowers in Guelph.
