Folklore On Plants

There is much folklore on many North American plants in : "Hedgemaids and 
Fairy Candles: The Lives and Lore of North American Wildflowers" 
published in 1993 by Ragged Mountain Press, an imprint of McGraw-Hill. 
The book also has an extensive bibliography that can point one in other 
directions and has a sizable subject index.

Its author, Jack Sanders, often reads this newsgroup.
