Dear Network, can anyone direct me to reviews or papers, ideas or facts
concerning the requirements for seed development in a silique? Is the
double fertilization of both the egg and the secondary endosperm an
absolute requirement. Is pollen tube penetration sufficient or even
necessary? In other word, absent a completely normal embryo or egg sac,
what are the minimal inductive events required for seed development and
maturation?
