Sorry for the last letter, the system crashed when I was writing it.

I'm currently working with wet burning (digestion) for mineral quantification
on ICP-AES, and having some troubles with the technique.
I'm consistebtly getting the formation of small white globular crystals
whose composition is unknown to me. As I need to filter those crystals to avoid
ICP clogging, I may be inducing to losses of important material.

My mixture is 5 ml of HCL04:HNO3 on the ratio 1:2, for digestion of 100 mg
of pepper leaves (as well as roots and stems). Would this volume be too small?
Or maybe someone could tyell me from its personal experience whether he/she
has seen such crystals before, and maybe know its composition ?

A chemistry technician has told me that they MAY be silicates, but I'm not sure.
The literature is not consistent on that. Sometimes they look like rafids, but most of the times they are globular (and may resembl

Thank you in advance
